CNN is looking for its next bright internship stars
As one of the world's news leaders we are interested in creative and energetic people with diverse perspectives and talents. Our global team creates content consumed by millions of people every day, and with tectonic changes in the world, news and impactful storytelling are more important now than ever. A successful CNN intern is committed to quality journalism, has strong knowledge of international issues, a keen interest in the digital media landscape, and a sharp eye for the stories that spark conversation on a daily basis.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated and experienced journalists, attend regular editorial meetings and participate in the editorial process.
We offer 15 internships at our central London Bureau, where we help to bring the news to more than 250 million homes around the world. We are looking for CNN's future: people with fresh ideas, innovative viewpoints, a willingness to work hard, and a commitment to the highest standards of journalism.
The internships are designed for journalism graduates or candidates from a related field seeking a career in journalism. You must be a British citizen or have the right to work in the UK long term prior to applying for our intern programme. We are unable to accept people with short term work/study visas. Language skills are not essential but would be an advantage. Good English and grammar skills are a must.
CNN advocates for diversity and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds, ethnicities, abilities and genders, and we are committed to creating both a workforce and content that are as diverse as the global audiences we serve. The Ideal Candidate
Candidates should be detail-orientated, have strong writing and research skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and have the confidence to pitch story ideas and potential guests to show producers. Previous media training or study in the field is desirable but not essential.
